Bob, N9HAL gave members after the meeting a fantastic program. He shared information about his homebrew 15 watt transmitter and homebrew receiver.
This radio gear is operational and currently being used by Bob on the 80 meter CW band. It was just wonderful to see what this equipment looks like,
as well as hear how it was built. I must confess that I find it to be a true joy to see this kind of radio equipment. With the high technology that
exists today in new radios itís hard to believe how far we have actually come in our hobby of amateur radio. As basic as this homebrew
gear might be . . . it certainly shows what it was like operating on the ham bands many years ago before there was commercially available
transmitters and receivers to buy.
Thanks Bob for delivering a most classy and informative program. Denny WB9MSM
